...was once surrounded by a pack of around 15 dogs in Brasilia when he was a teenager. One of the dogs bit him. It had to be kept quarantined for a week to establish whether or not it was a rabies carrier.

...as a child in Argentina he owned a grass snake called Eric. On the 500 mile coach journey from his school way up in the hills to his home in Buenos Aires, Eric travelled with Adam in a box of Ritz crackers. On one trip at half term, Eric escaped from the box and the driver nearly crashed the bus. Eric was given his marching orders by the none too sympathetic driver. Still, at least Adam had the rest of the Ritz crackers to himself...
